Carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risk assessment of selected heavy metals in soil and groundwater at mechanic workshops in Ilesa, Nigeria
Mechanic workshops can be important local sources of heavy-metal pollution. This study assesses selected metals in soil and groundwater at workshops in Ilesa, Nigeria, and estimates both carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic health risks.
The results speak to occupational and community exposure in informal automotive settings and to the need for environmental monitoring and safer waste practices.
